The VIP Membership

With our VIP Pass, members get 15 minutes of early access to all events, 5 minute product holds in your cart, 2 exchanges, returns or cancellations a month and exclusive VIP event offerings! Sounds like something you’d be interested in? Sign up in App!

  • As a VIP Pass Member, you can return or cancel up to two (2) orders per month (minus the cost of priority shipping where applicable).

    VIP Returns are EXCLUSIVE of any items where FINAL SALE is expressly listed in event. In addition, all items sold and purchased through a Marketplace seller in App are considered to be FINAL SALE, no cancellations, returns/or exchanges for a refund/or credit will be accepted for these items. Final sale items may include but are not limited to; marketplace, pre-loved, swimwear and intimates.  

    Don’t fret, your VIP perks of 2 cancellations, returns or exchanges per month will still apply to events hosted by any verified ShopThing Shoppers (excluding pre-loved items). These shoppers will be recognized by a blue check mark in the FEATURED SECTION in App. 

    Please note, FINAL SALE items excluded from VIP returns policy will be clearly indicated in app, event and on your packing slip.  

    The ‘month’ refers to calendar month and does not begin from your ‘member since’ date.

    Cancellation of an item you have paid for may only be made before the item has been confirmed by the Shopper in event. Cancellation requests may not be processed outside of ShopThing Customer Care hours of operation. Upon successful cancellation, the payment authorization on you credit card will reverse and no money will be taken from your account.  

    Return of an item must be agreed upon with ShopThing no later than 7 days from receipt of your item.

    Refunds will be made to the original method of payment once the goods have been returned to and accepted by ShopThing.  

    All items must be returned in their original condition, with tags attached, unworn and unwashed. Returns in the original condition must have the ShopThing label in tact.  

    The refunded amount will be the original total less the cost of a pre-paid return shipping label as supplied by ShopThing.   If you choose to send the goods back on your own, the same expectation of condition applies and your refund will made in the full amount originally paid less any priority shipping premiums paid.

    Please note that we do not offer any merchandise credit at this time.

    After 7 business days of your order being received, returns will not be accepted. 

    WHAT IS THE RETURN PROCESS? 

    1. Please email hello@shopthing.com with your order details (first name, last name, order number,  product description and the email address with which you created your ShopThing VIP Pass account and used to purchase the product) to initiate your return.

    2. Upon request ShopThing can provide you with a return label for you to send your item back with. We kindly ask that your package is shipped within 5 business days of the label being provided.

      • Please notify our customer care team once your item has been shipped back to us.

    3. It may take up to 2 weeks for your package to be received at our Fulfillment Center.

    4. Once received, the goods will be inspected. All items must be returned in their original condition with all tags attached, unworn and unwashed. Returns should be in the original packaging where possible with dust bags and authenticity cards included where applcable. Goods not received in the above noted condition may not be accepted and may be returned to you.

    5. If your return item is accepted, we will process your refund within 5 business days of receipt. An email with your refund details will be sent to the email address that was used to place the original order.

    Please allow 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution, for all refunds to appear on your credit card statement. 

    I’M A VIP PASS MEMBER, CAN I RETURN MY PACKAGE?

    To qualify for a return, you must be a VIP pass Member at both the time of purchase, and at the time of return initiation. If you require assistance in understanding if your order qualifies for a return, our team can provide you with specific order details. 

    VIP Pass returns are not elligible on items specified as FINAL SALE in our live shopping events.

    Please note that you have a window of 7 business days from the date you receive your package to initiate a return by emailing hello@shopthing.com

    ARE RETURNS FREE? 

    Any returns initiated within 7 business days of the order being delivered can be returned at your cost.

    We kindly ask that you send your item back within 5 business days of the date the return is initiated in order to be eligible for a full refund. 

    Please know that we reserve the right to refuse any packages that are sent outside of the return policy as outlined above. 

    WHY AM I BEING REFUNDED LESS THAN WHAT I ORIGINALLY PAID? 

    If the item which you are returning was purchased in a currency other than your local currency, any refund issued will be paid in the same currency as the purchase. Due to fluctuations in currency exchange rates the amount refunded may be higher or lower than the original price paid. 

    ShopThing is not responsible for any changes or fluctuations caused by currency exchange.  Refunds will be processed at the rate used by your cardholder the day the refund is processed. This rate is subject to change and is not at the discretion of ShopThing.

    WHY DID I NOT RECEIVE A FULL REFUND? 

    If you paid priority shipping for the item being returned, this amount will not be refunded to you, as stated in our terms of use, refunds do not include priority shipping costs. 

    If you paid for package protection, this amount will also not be refunded to you, as stated in our terms of use.

    WHY WAS MY RETURN SENT BACK TO ME?

    All returns will be inspected. Items must be returned in their original condition with all tags attached, unworn and unwashed. Returns should be in the original packaging where possible with dust bags and authenticity cards included where applcable. Goods not received in the above noted condition may not be accepted and may be returned to you.

    CAN I EXCHANGE?

    We allow exchanges on a case-by-case basis, depending on the item you purchased, and the event and retailer from which your item was purchased. 

    DUTIES & TAXES

    You will be liable for any local sales taxes, import duties adn brokerage fees which may be charged on the delivery of your order. Failure to pay these charges may result in your order being returned to ShopThing. It will be your sole responsibility to arrange for re-shipment of your goods if this occurs.

    In the event that you choose to return an order that was subject to duties or taxes, this amount will not be reimbursed or covered by ShopThing once your item has been returned to us. 

    DISCLAIMER

    The Returns Policy does not affect your statutory rights.
    For more information on your statutory rights, contact your local Trading Standards Office, Consumer Protection bureau, Citizens Advice Bureau or the equivalent in your jurisdiction, if any.

  • If you do wish to cancel your monthly or annual ShopThing VIP Pass, please contact us at hello@shopthing.com at least 5 business days before your renewal date. Your renewal date can be found in the ShopThing App on the VIP tab.

    Your email must include the first name, last name, email address used to set up your ShopThing VIP account, and reason for cancellation. ONLY upon receipt of these details will your request be processed.

    Your ShopThing VIP Pass will be valid until the end of your final billing period. This date will be confirmed to you by email.

    Once your final billing period ends, your Pass will not be renewed.

    We do not provide any partial refunds for ShopThing VIP Passes cancelled prior to the end of the billing period.

    We do not offer Pass conversions from annual to monthly.

    If you choose to upgrade from a monthly VIP Pass to an annual VIP Pass, the new start of your billling period will begin the day your requst is processed.

    VIP Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.

    ShopThing is pleased to offer our users a subscription-based membership program (“ShopThing VIP”). ShopThing VIP offers special access, features and products that are only available to ShopThing VIP Pass holders.

    ShopThing VIP’s benefits and features (collectively, the “ShopThing Benefits”) include:

    • Early access to live shopping events;

    • Member only events;

    • Permission to cancel orders and return elligible products;

    • The ability to hold products in your shopping cart for a prescribed amount of time; and

    • Such other benefits as we, in our sole discretion, may decide to add from time to time

    The ShopThing VIP Benefits are subject to restrictions and may change without prior notice at any time, at our sole discretion.

    You may only subscribe to ShopThing VIP if you: (i) agree to these terms and conditions (these “Terms”); (ii) are the age of majority in your province or state of residence; and (iii) are not otherwise prohibited by applicable law from accessing or using the Sites (as such term is defined in our General Terms and Conditions).

    These Terms are subject to change by ShopThing Inc. (referred to as “ShopThing”, “us”, “we”, or “our” as the context may require) without prior notice at any time, at our sole discretion. Any changes to these Terms will be in effect as of the “Last Updated Date” referenced on our Site(s). Your continued use of any Site from and after the “Last Updated Date” will constitute your acceptance of and agreement to such changes.

    You should review these Terms, together with our General Terms and Conditions, our Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Goods or Services, and our Privacy Policy before subscribing to ShopThing VIP or purchasing any product or services that are available through the Site(s). 

    1. Subscription to ShopThing VIP Pass.

      a) ShopThing VIP is available for both iOS and Android users however, Android users need to contact us directly via email (hello@shopthing.com) to sign up for the subscription.

      b) ShopThing VIP Pass holders have the option to pay the ShopThing VIP subscription fee on a monthly or annual basis. Plans automatically renew until canceled. Visit our ShopThing VIP membership page for information regarding our pricing and subscription options.

      c) VIP Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.

    2. Disclaimers.

      a) THE FEATURES AND BENEFITS OF SHOPTHING VIP PASS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OR CONDITION WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OR CONDITION: (A) OF MERCHANTABILITY; (B) OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; OR (C) AGAINST INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF A THIRD PARTY; WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE, OR OTHERWISE.

      b) SOME JURISDICTIONS LIMIT OR DO NOT ALLOW THE DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED OR OTHER CONDITIONS AND WARRANTIES SO THE ABOVE DISCLAIMER MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

    3. Limitation of Liability.

      a) EXCEPT WHERE SUCH EXCLUSIONS ARE PROHIBITED BY LAW, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL WE OR ANY OF OUR PARENT, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES OR OURS OR THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES, CONTRACTORS, SUCCESSORS OR ASSIGNS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY DAMAGES OR LOSS FROM, PERSONAL INJURY, PAIN AND SUFFERING, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER CAUSED, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, BY TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF CONTRACT, BREACH OF PRIVACY, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE, OR INABILITY TO USE, OR RELIANCE ON, ANY OF THE SITES. YOUR SOLE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH ANY SITE IS TO STOP USING SUCH SITE AND ANY RELATED SERVICE.

      b) OUR SOLE AND ENTIRE MAXIMUM LIABILITY, FOR ANY REASON, AND YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES YOU HAVE ORDERED THROUGH OUR SITE(S).

    4. Privacy. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Our Privacy Policy governs the processing of all personal data collected from you in connection with your purchase of products or services through our Sites.

    5. Force Majeure. We are not liable or responsible to you, nor shall we be deemed to have defaulted under or breached these Terms, for any failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any of these Terms, when and to the extent that our failure or delay is caused by or results from any of the following events (“Force Majeure Event(s)”): (a) acts of God; (b) flood, fire, earthquake, explosion, epidemics, pandemics, including the 2019 novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19); (c) war, invasion, hostilities (whether war is declared or not), terrorist threats or acts, riot or other civil unrest; (d) government order, law, or action; (e) embargoes or blockades in effect on or after the date of this agreement; (f) national or regional emergency; (g) strikes, labour stoppages or slowdowns or other industrial disturbances; and (h) other similar events beyond our control.

    6. Paramountcy. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions of these Terms and the General Terms and Conditions then, notwithstanding anything contained in the General Terms and Conditions, the provisions contained in these Terms shall prevail to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.

    7. Governing Law. All matters arising out of or relating to these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

    8. Waiver of Recourse to the Courts and Binding Arbitration.

      a) WHERE PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AND SHOPTHING AGREE TO GIVE UP ANY RIGHTS TO LITIGATE CLAIMS IN A COURT. OTHER RIGHTS THAT YOU WOULD HAVE IF YOU WENT TO COURT MAY ALSO BE UNAVAILABLE OR MAY BE LIMITED IN ARBITRATION.

      ANY CLAIM, DISPUTE OR CONTROVERSY (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, WHETHER PRE-EXISTING, PRESENT, OR FUTURE, AND INCLUDING STATUTORY, CONSUMER PROTECTION, COMMON LAW, INTENTIONAL TORT, INJUNCTIVE AND EQUITABLE CLAIMS) BETWEEN YOU AND US ARISING FROM OR RELATING IN ANY WAY TO YOUR PURCHASE OF PRODUCTS OR SERVICES THROUGH THIS SITE, WILL BE RESOLVED EXCLUSIVELY AND FINALLY BY BINDING ARBITRATION.

      b) The arbitration shall proceed in accordance with the provisions of the Arbitration Act, 1991 (Ontario).

      The arbitrator will have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to arbitrability and/or enforceability of this arbitration provision, including any unconscionability challenge or any other challenge that the arbitration provision or the agreement is void, voidable or otherwise invalid. The arbitrator will be empowered to grant whatever relief would be available in court under law or in equity. Any award of the arbitrator(s) will be final and binding on each of the parties and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. 

      If any provision of this arbitration agreement is found unenforceable, the unenforceable provision will be severed and the remaining arbitration terms will be enforced.

    9. Assignment. You will not assign any of your rights or delegate any of your obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Any purported assignment or delegation in violation of this Section 8 is null and void. No assignment or delegation relieves you of any of your obligations under these Terms.

    10. No Waivers. The failure or delay by us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of future enforcement of that right or provision. The waiver of any right or provision will be effective only if in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative of ShopThing.

    11. No Third-Party Beneficiaries. These Terms do not and are not intended to confer any rights or remedies upon any person or entity other than you.

    12. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is invalid, illegal, void, or unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed severed from these Terms and will not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Terms.

    13. Entire Agreement. These Terms, our General Terms and Conditions, our Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Goods or Services and our Privacy Policy will be deemed the final and integrated agreement between you and us on the matters contained in these Terms. Capitalized terms used herein but not defined herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in our General Terms and Conditions.

  • These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the 50 off coupon code (VIP50)  provided by ShopThing ("Company"): (collectively referred to as "Coupons"). By using this Coupon, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

    2. Coupon Usage

    The Coupon code entitles you to receive 50% off your first VIP pass. You may apply the discount to either; the first month of your VIP pass; or the first year of pass. If you sign up for a month of VIP, your second month will be automatically charged at full price on your monthly renewal. The percentage off is applied to the subtotal of your purchase, all applicable taxes are extra.

    Please Note: Android users must contact hello@shopthing.com to apply the 50% refund to their VIP Pass purchase.

    3. Eligibility

    The Coupon only applies to new VIP pass holders only, and may not be applied to previous or existing pass holders.

    4. Expiry

    The coupon code is valid from Dec 24, 2024, at 9:00 AM ET, until Dec 27, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET. All sales are final.

    After the expiry date, the Coupon codes will no longer be valid for use.

    5. General

    The Company reserves the right to modify or cancel the Coupon offers at any time without prior notice.

    The Coupons have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or resold.

    The Company reserves the right to revoke the Coupons if it suspects misuse or fraudulent activity.

    These Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where the purchase is made.
