ShopThing is your Luxury Buy & Sell Marketplace. We have a team of shoppers who go out and find you the best deals every single day. We also offer you (yes you!), the chance to become a Seller through our Marketplace. WHAT IS LIVE SHOPPING?
Live shopping means you can watch our Shoppers shop, try on, review, and post different brands and products to our App every single day, in real-time! Although some events may be pre-recorded, your shoppers and sellers are available to chat live with you through the app to answer any questions about the products in their events.
ARE YOUR ITEMS AUTHENTIC?
Yes! Everything we sell is authentic and purchased brand new or pre-loved directly from the brand or authorized retailers like department stores. We offer a 100% Authenticity Guarantee or your money back.
HOW CAN I GET ON THE APP?
We’re available on both the iOS and Android app stores! Simply download the app from either the iOS App Store or the Android Play Store and create an account to make checkout a breeze!
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU SUPPORT?
We are happy to offer Apple Pay and our secure checkout is powered through a secure payment processor and supports all major credit cards: Visa, Amex, and MasterCard. Unfortunately, we do not support PayPal at this time.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Due to the nature of our live shopping events, all sales are final. We want you to feel confident in your purchase so we’re happy to help you with sizing, fit, or any questions that you may have - just start a chat with the Shopper! By signing up to be a VIP you can enjoy 2 returns per month from any item sold and shipped by ShopThing, that is not marked ‘Final Sale’ or ‘Pre-Loved’. Learn more about VIP returns here. At this time, returns from any Marketplace sellers, meaning accounts who sell and ship their own products, are final sale.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I PAY FOR MY ITEM?
After checkout, we begin processing your order with the retailer. Once your order is placed, you will receive an Order Confirmation Email. Occasionally we may need to cancel your order if the item is damaged or the inventory conveyed to us by the retailer was incorrect. In this case, you will receive a Cancellation Email and the pre-authorization for the order amount will fall off your credit card in about 7 business days (depending on your bank).
WHERE DOES MY ITEM SHIP FROM?
While shopping, you may notice “Sold by X and Shipped by X”. If the item is marked as “Shipped from ShopThing” it will be shipped from ShopThing’s Toronto fulfillment centre if sold in CAD or from ShopThing’s New Jersey Warehouse if sold in USD. These items can take 1-3 weeks to ship after your order is confirmed. If your item is sold and shipped by the same seller handle, it is a Marketplace Seller and your order should ship within one week of order confirmation.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SHIP?
Items shipped by ShopThing will ship 1-3 weeks after your order is confirmed. If in your order confirmation you see “Sold & Shipped by {Seller Name}, that is different from ShopThing, your order will ship within 1 week.
ARE THERE DUTIES AND OTHER ADDITIONAL CHARGES?
For orders being purchased in your own currency, there will be no duties. Please note that cross-border purchases (orders made not in your local currency) may incur duties, dictated and charged by customers, entirely out of our control. Additionally, ShopThing adds a service fee, as well as local taxes. Please note that our service fee is subject to change without notice. You can find a full price breakdown at checkout.
MY ORDER STATUS SAYS PENDING - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Pending means you have placed your order but the Shopper has yet to purchase the product and confirm the order.
MY ORDER STATUS SAYS CONFIRMED - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Confirmed means your Shopper has purchased your order from the retailer and is waiting to receive the item to be shipped. We will perform a thorough quality check (checking sizing, no damage, etc.) before sending the order to you!
MY ORDER STATUS SAYS FULFILLED - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Your order is out for delivery. YAY! Tracking information is included in your Shipping Confirmation email. Please Note: Packages require a signature upon delivery, so please ensure someone is home as it gets close!
MY ORDER WAS CANCELED, BUT I WAS CHARGED?
You won't be charged for this item. We authorized your card for the full amount of the purchase when you placed your order, but this authorization will be fully refunded to your credit card in about 7 business days, depending on your bank.
WHAT IS PACKAGE PROTECTION
ShopThing provides Package Protection to cover online purchases that are lost or damaged in transit. If you declined Package Protection during checkout, we are not responsible for investigating or refunding lost or damaged packages. Read more here.
