Appendix B- How to Pack
Shipping luxury items is one of the most important aspects of the customer experience! Let’s make their days by providing beautiful packaging to compliment beautiful products!
NOTES: Please include all items provided by the retailer (shopping bags, ribbon, dust bags, authenticity cards, etc.)
HANDBAGS
Do not force the handbag into the box. Choose a box size that has room for the bag. To provide extra protection, use bubble wrap to fill in gaps.
Place bubble wrap on top of the item to add protection to the top of the box. This can prevent customers from cutting straight into the items.
SHOES
Do not force the shoe box into a box - again, allow some space for the box to prevent any damage to the box.
Ensure that both shoes are inside the box (one right foot, one left foot and the same size).
Be sure to include all stuffing materials that have been provided for both shoes (if applicable)
APPAREL
Ensure that the apparel you are packing is protected by wrapping it in tissue paper as neatly as possible. Based on your discretion, pack in either a box or bubble mailer.
For larger apparel pieces (coats/jackets/bulky sweaters) that do not come with a garment bag, ensure that it is wrapped in tissue paper and packaged in a box.
For smaller apparel pieces (t-shirts, pants, scarves, hats, gloves, etc.), you may use a bubble mailer so long as the item is wrapped neatly in tissue paper.
ACCESSORIES (including watches, sunglasses, small leather goals):
Where possible, please use boxes to ship all small leather goods. Watches, sunglasses and other fragile items must be shipped in a box.
Small leather goods: for SLGs that come in a branded box - you may use a bubble mailer, as long as the branded box is wrapped in bubble wrap
If there is no branded box: try to use the smallest box possible without squishing the item. You may use a box with bubble wrap on both the bottom and top.
If you do not have a small size box that will fit the item, you may use a bubble mailer as long as it is a padded bubble mailer with the item wrapped neatly in tissue.
