Q. How would you describe your personal style?

Our personal style is a mixture of vintage eclectic with contemporary twists! We love items that help us express ourselves! Fashion is its own romantic language, it’s so fun to explore and learn what your fashion story is as it develops!

Q. What is your all-time favourite brand?

Our all time favourite brand is hands down Hermès - a Classic and Timeless Heritage brands that is dedicated to their craftsmanship, iconic timeless recognizable styles. Whether it is a vintage preloved or brand new piece from Hermès, you know that you have a piece of history and impeccable craftsmanship.

Q. What is your favourite up and coming brand?

Our favourite up and coming brand would be Pheobe Philo. While the creator is not up and coming as she was the creative director for other brands we love— Celine & Chloe, yet her newly launched brand is. We truly appreciate her love for minimal, utilitarian, and purposeful accessories. Her consciousness and commitment to sustainability in her business practices are yet another a reason we respect and appreciate her. We believe Phoebe designs timeless pieces that can be used for generations and will never go out of style.

Q. What excites you the most about pre-loved items?

What excites us most about preloved items is the fact these items get to have a continued journey with its new owners. This provides a sustainable choice to reduce our carbon footprint when adding items into our wardrobes! Not only is it good for the planet for us to buy more preloved, it typically can provide cost savings by choosing preloved. With the shift of mass consumption of goods, many companies have shifted from fully handmade. I can also really appreciate the craftsmanship of preloved pieces. Typically on the preloved market you can find really unique, rare items that many may not have with outstanding quality. We love the story each item carries and look forward to the future stories it will have with its next home!

Q. What was your most exciting pre-loved find?

Currently our most exciting pre-loved find would be a Chanel Large Shopping Flap Tote from 2015 with a Custard Beige Colourway. It’s everything we love in a bag — firstly by being a tote, the fact that it has classic Chanel flap & quilting, and the Ruthenium hardware can match with any look.

Q. Who's your fashion icon?

It is hard to select one but a few of my fashion icons would be Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Tracee Ellis Ross. All for different reasons but collectively because they all try daring, vibrant styles that are always iconic.

Q. What advice would you give to someone who is new to the world of luxury fashion and wants to start building their collection?

For someone wanting to build their collection of luxury goods, we would suggest looking within your personal style. Ask yourself how you intend to use these items? We would also suggest analyzing your current wardrobe to see what you are drawn to and the reasons why. That way you can narrow down styles, materials and brands and select something that you will get use from. Always do your research and don’t be afraid to ask questions! Having all the information you need is key when making investments in luxury goods.

Q. What do you love most about selling with ShopThing?

The thing we love most about selling with ShopThing, is the ability to be able to reach a target audience of individuals seeking luxury goods. We love the accessibility of having a virtual sale that runs for a duration allowing viewers the time to observe and ask any questions they need before purchasing. We love this community and are so excited to host more events! Currently our first event has hit over 300,000 views and we are excited to see the reach of upcoming events!
