ShopThing Marketplace: How it Works

Q: What is ShopThing Marketplace?

ShopThing Marketplace allows independent sellers and retailers to create live shopping events from the comfort of their homes, closets and/or stores. Marketplace Sellers also may go out to local retailers and find the best luxury deals to share with their audience. All Marketplace orders are sold and shipped by the Marketplace Seller.

Q: How do I go live?

Q: How will I get paid?

ShopThing will provide you with Payouts for the product subtotal upon the customer’s successful receipt and processing of the sold items. A Platform Fee of 10%, plus applicable taxes, as well as a Payment Processing Fee of 3.5%, plus applicable taxes, will be deducted from your Payouts for each transaction completed.

Q: What is the product subtotal?

The product subtotal is the listed price of the product before taxes or any additional fees. This is the amount the 10% platform fee is calculated with in addition to any applicable taxes per transaction.

Q: What can I sell?

You can sell items from your own closet or items from luxury retailers within your city! Popular categories include luxury handbags, shoes, clothing, accessories, and jewelry! We recommend posting a minimum of 25 products per event!

Q: How do I ship my items?

You will ship your sold items directly to the customer within two business of receiving a sale, using the ShopThing Inventory System Dashboard.

Q: How many events can I do?

You can go live on the dates that are most convenient for your schedule!

Q: Are items final sale

Any item sold through Marketplace is considered FINAL SALE, meaning that once a customer has made a purchase from you in Marketplace, they will no longer be able to cancel, return or exchange the item for a refund/and or credit. All of these items will be listed in the event as FINAL SALE. That being said, should you have any questions regarding this policy, you may still reach out to our team to help resolve any questions or concerns.
